Handmade hardbody fishing lures for sale
The lures pictured below have been individually handmade by me. The designs are informed by my own many decades of fishing, which includes off the rocks, off the beach, lakes and out at sea from a boat. I’m familiar with lure taking species such as flathead, snapper, mulloway, salmon, tailor, bream, trevally, tommies and kingfish.
As I’m not a factory, each lure is unique to some degree so I’ll list relevant details underneath each photo. As this is the case, I can’t take orders for specific lures, however I can attempt to meet general requirements. Mostly though, they will be made and put up for sale according to my whims and follies.
CONSTRUCTION , The lure bodies are carved from beech timber, which is much more solid than the commonly used balsa. The LARGE lures feature a one piece wire loom through the entire body, made from 2mm thick stainless steel. Casting weight is added by pouring molten metal into a belly cavity, which sets over and around the wire loom. The timber is sealed with one coat of two-part clear epoxy, foiled and then hand painted. The exterior finish is made with three coats of two-part clear epoxy. The SMALLER lures use glued-in eyelets made from 1mm stainless wire.

NOTE, all lures are sold without hooks. This is because everyone likes a different hook pattern so it’s best you fit your own preference rather than bin the ones I’d put on.
